
KAHANE Rémi
French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD), France
- Rémi Kahane is an agronomist of the HortSys research unit at the French Agricultural Research and International Cooperation organization (Cirad). Cirad has a specific geographic focus on tropical and subtropical environments and partnerships with research, farmers’ organizations and civil society including the private sector.
- Rémi is the horticulture leader at Cirad, responsible for cross cutting issues among 12 research units embracing all disciplines of the horticulture value chains (except ornamentals).
- He was the vice-president of the International Horticultural Congress 2022, in France, involved in joint activities with the ISHS for more than 20 years in a large international network promoting horticulture for health and prosperity, including Agrinatura, the One CGIAR, FAO, FARA, UC Davis and the World Vegetable Center.
- Rémi is the President of Aprifel’s Consumer Council since 2021.
