FOLKVORD Frans

Tilburg University, Netherlands

  • Frans Folkvord is Associate Professor at Tilburg University (Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences) and an entrepreneur working at the intersection of behavioural science, digital technologies and health innovation.
  • His research focuses on the impact of digital environments, marketing and behavioural interventions on health behaviours, with a particular interest in AI-driven solutions and data-driven healthcare systems.
  • Alongside his academic work, he co-founded Forward Faster AI and PredictBy, companies focused respectively on causal analytics, artificial intelligence and predictive data solutions for policy, healthcare and business applications.
  • He has authored more than 90 scientific publications, including articles in journals such as Nature Scientific Reports, JMIR, and Appetite, and has contributed to several large European research and innovation projects in digital health, AI and behavioural science.
  • He is also a member of the WHO Regional Office for Europe’s Technical Advisory Groups on Brand Marketing and on Behavioural and Cultural Insights.
